A one-of-a-kind cast, forged and fabricated ring in 18k yellow gold, with platinum bezels on the octahedral diamond and the faceted Ceylon sapphires. The diamond, which weighs 1.33 carats, is the top half of a natural octahedron– that is, the diamond has not been faceted or polished at all… what you see is the natural “skin” of the crystal, with the growth lines clearly visible on the surface. The crystal measures 7 x 6.5 mm when seen from the top. It has a strong pyramidal shape and rugged beauty… before the advent of cutting and polishing diamonds, these crystals were used as is in jewelry and precious objects. The Ceylon sapphires are faceted and measure 4 mm in diameter, and total 0.60 carats in weight.
